Hey Rusty Ryan - With the #3 seed, do the Cats have what it takes to win the title this year? What do they need to do better? Who would you like them to face in the Championship game if they make it that far? Who's the hottest team in 3A right now?

I think the Wildcats have a great chance at winning the title. From what I have seen I think just being a little more consistent throughout the game on both offense and defense will help them. I'm no coach and I don't know the strengths of the team and the weaknesses of the others like they do so I'm sure they will game plan towards that.
If they make it to the championship I would probably like to see them play Socorro since that would mean it's played in Lovington. St Mike's is undefeated and going to Santa Fe would be tough.
Hottest team right now has to be either Ruidoso or Silver City. If we make it to the semis vs Silver I think that will be the toughest game as they are probably better then most think.
How do you see everything?

If the cats and silver were to advance and play each other. Where would they play? I might be wrong but I though silver last played here in 95. Do you remember if lvt has played them there since then? I know silver got moved up to 4A but I dont remember what year. Some good matchups on both sides of the bracket. I saw the hope christian game against raton on nmaa films ez stream and they looked impressive, so did robertson today although they played portales. Our cats have some tough opponents but they are capable of taking care of business. Go WILDCATS!

Lovington and Silver las played a playoff game in 1997. It was played in Silver City. I believe we owe St. Michael's, Robertson, and Alb Academy. Silver and Socorro would be played in Lovington, and Hope Christian would be a coin flip. It will be a tough road to the championship but I think the Cats are ready.
